Mei Yu is an award-winning young Canadian artist, author, illustrator, self-publisher, caricaturist, art instructor and funder of the Mei Yu Cartoon Art Scholarship.

Mei entertains thousands with her amazing caricatures at corporate and private parties, DryGrads, weddings and events.

She teaches Anime / Cartoon Drawing Classes at Capilano College's Continuing Ed Dept and in schools & libraries. Mei is also a TV cartoon designer at Vancouver animation studios. She writes, illustrates, publishes and distributes her own Anime and Cartoon art instruction book series. Mei Yu lives and works in Vancouver, B.C. Canada.

Deadline for The Mei Yu Cartoon Art Scholarship is April 22, 2009!

Students in Canada and the United States aged 8-12 and 13-17 who are interested in applying for The Mei Yu Cartoon Art Scholarship must mail their artwork, along with the completed application form and rules/regs form by April 22, 2009.

New for 2009: You could win $500 (Cdn) to use towards your art studies.

Summer Camp August 2008 Anime Drawing Classes at Capilano University

Mei will be teaching her popular Anime drawing course for kids and teens, ages 8-12 & 13-17 at Capilano University (North Vancouver) starting August 11-14, 2008 (Monday to Thursday). To register, call the Continuing Education Department at (604) 984-4901. Register early as space is limited!
